Regulations Could Make Outdoor Furnaces Safer

Some Americans are now going outside to turn up their heat. They’re using outdoor wood furnaces that pipe hot-water heat into their homes. But neighbors say the units are a health hazard. Federal regulators are working with the manufacturers to make the next generation of outdoor furnaces a lot cleaner.
